[…] I took something unique and natural and, by means of boxing and packaging, treated it like a cultural or mechanically produced product. I was interested in the change that would occur. If something could be mechanically reproduced, its value and nature would change. It wouldn’t be unique anymore, merely one of many. And then you’d have to go through a process of identification to distinguish from others.
